Robert and Sharon Dutton purchased the business in 1998 and set about expanding the product range and customer base.

In October 2004 they moved into a new warehouse in Connector Park, Kings Meadow. The new techno park area currently houses Bunning's Hardware House, Motors Trucks Sales and Service, Bondor Insulation Factory and A.B.E.L. Landscaping Supplies.

The land is 9410 square metres and Jack Birrell Architects Pty Ltd designed the warehouse with engineers including a full heavy vehicular turning circle on a separate entrance to the 48 bay car park;

Mario's is the Sole Tasmanian agent for Mocopan Coffee, Dorsogna Smallgoods, Adelaide Frozen Pasta, L'Abruzzesse Egg Noodle Pasta, Montedoro Vegetable and Olive Oils, Bakels Premixes, King Island Cheeses, Nudie Juices, Lavazza Coffee and have the Agency for Bondi Chai.

In 2007 PFD acquired Mario's Wholesale and will shortly move their existing Launceston Branch into the the Connector Park warehouse. Mario's and PFD customers will continue to receive the personalised service and extensive product range along with exclusive rewards programs and regular promotions.
