property portfolio, ARFN and the Entyce joint venture.
The Honourable Jeffrey G. Kennett AC
Jeff Kennett

The Hon Jeffrey Kennett AC was an Officer in the Royal Australian Regiment, serving at home and overseas. He was a Member of the Victorian Parliament for 23 years and was Premier of the State of Victoria from 1992 to 1999. Mr Kennett is currently Chairman of Australian Seniors Finance Limited, Open Window Pty Ltd and a Director of PFD Food Services Pty Ltd, a Director of Jumbuck Entertainment Limited, QLimited and Barbu D’Anvers Proprietary Limited. He is also Chairman of Beyondblue, the national depression initiative, Chairman of the Enterprize Ship Trust and President of the Hawthorn Football Club.

John Murphy

John Murphy has built his career through a series of progressions within Foster’s Group first in Finance and Strategy, then Field Marketing, Operations and more recently Sales and Marketing.

His career with Foster’s Group began in Finance and Administration positions based in Brisbane, servicing Queensland and the Northern Territory. He also spent time in middle management positions in Field Marketing, Marketing Services and Sales during this period. He was then transferred to Melbourne as National Manager for Production and Purchasing.

After spending time in Production and Purchasing he then spent two years developing the footprint for the establishment of CUB’s national customer team servicing the national retail chains and national on-premise customers.

In recent times John was responsible for the evolution of Marketing and Sales teams from a beer only focus to a multi beverage capability. With a restructure of the Foster’s Group in 2005, including the merger of CUB and BBWE and also the acquisition of Southcorp Wines, John was appointed to lead the new business as Managing Director of Foster’s Australia.

Then after two years as Managing Director he left Foster’s Australia to pursue his own ventures and offer consulting services in Sales and Marketing. He also took up a number of Board positions including PFD.

Michael Van Dort
Michael Van Dort
Consultant and Advisor. Michael has been associated with PFD since 1979 as an advisor and consultant to Rick Smith and the Smith family generally.  As a consultant to the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, he provides financial and managerial expertise and advice in a variety of areas.  He is also responsible for the financial reporting of companies associated with the Smith family.

Chief Operating Officer.Peter manages all state operations.  The State General Managers report to Peter on all operational issues.

Group Commercial Manager. In addition to managing the company’s commercial affairs, Peter manages a portfolio of potential acquisitions and implements Board endorsed acquisitions so that their full value is realised.
