- Chickadee Foods began as a partnership when Mr Ern Bailey and his wife Jean, commenced production at Lisarow, located approximately 80 kilometres north of Sydney. From those pioneering days, the company has grown to become a leading poultry processor and supplier nationally. Today, Chickadee Foods, is one of the largest employers on the NSW Central Coast, having 450 employees. From the one production facility, Chickadee products are distributed into distinctive markets across the country. Product range is concentrated towards value added cooked poultry products which are developed in their own market research and product development centre. In the processing plant, cooking is done on modern processing equipment, allowing consistent product quality and portion control in the most hygienic conditions possible. The company maintains lot traceability throughout manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, ensuring maximum safety for the customer.
